The HMIS-HEARTH Conference to be held in Denver, CO on September 14-17  &  Atlanta, GA on September 27-30.

Online registration and additional information is available at www.onecpd.info.

Each conference will focus on HMIS implementation, and the important changes made to HUD’s McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Programs by the 2009 HEARTH Act.  Attendees will learn how the HEARTH Act amendments may affect local planning and future program operations and what steps should be taken to prepare for the transition to new requirements.  Attendees will also have an opportunity to learn about requirements for electronic reporting on homeless programs in a hands-on environment.

In the Fall of 2009 the Data Quality Management Council of the Vermont BoS CoC completed work
on the first data quality plan for the homeless programs participating in Homeless Management
Information System in Vermont. This spring the SAMHSA funded Projects for Assistance in Transition
from Homelessness providers were graded for the first time on data quality submitted, as part of the states
funding and oversight committee work. More recently the CoC has distributed paper “data quality report cards” for Mc Kinney Vento funded homeless projects, and anticipates posting the grades electronically in the near future.

Save the date for the Annual NERHMIS Training June 28th.

Reminder: the next NERHMIS meeting will be April 16th, at the HUD office in Boston.
